Tetris is a game where pieces of different geometric shapes, called "tetrominoes," fall from the top of the playing field.
During this descent, the player can either move the pieces sideways or rotate them until they touch the bottom of the board or land on a piece that was placed before it.
In most versions, the player can't stop falling shards or slow them down, but they can speed them up.
The goal of the game is to put together as many horizontal rows of blocks as possible with the puzzle pieces. When a line is finished, it goes away and the blocks above it get smaller by one order of magnitude. When you finish a line, you get points and a certain number of points, or you move up a level, which makes the number of points you get for each line you finish go up.
