Hearts is a four-player "escape-style" trick card game.
It was originally reported in America in the 1880s and has various versions, including the Black Lady and Black Maria games, which are also called "Hearts".
This trick game is a member of the Whist family, which also includes Bridge and Spades, but it is uncommon in that players escape penalty cards by not winning tricks. Enjoy!
